Analytical Chemist

Boots Healthcare International is a highly successful developer of OTC
medicines which are marketed in over 130 countries. We have a consumer focused
portfolio of products, including market-leading brands such as Nurofen,
Strepsils, Clearasil and Optrex.

We are looking for an experienced Analyst to join a talented team looking to
strengthen its expertise in analytical chemistry. The successful candidate
will have every opportunity to contribute to technical leadership and build
their skills.

We will expect you to be involved in all aspects of the development process,
from concept to implementation. As you will be working on a range of projects,
with key cost and time deadlines to be met, the ability to thrive in a fast
paced, challenging environment will also be important.

Ideally you will have gained experience through at least four years of
analytical development in the ethical pharmaceutical industry. The key
requirements for this role include in-depth theoretical knowledge of commonly
used techniques for finished products analysis (HPLC, GC, dissolution testing
etc).

Knowledge of the US and European regulatory guidelines covering analytical
procedures is desirable. The ability to function as part of a multi
disciplinary project team and the ability to work independently, with minimum
supervision, is essential.

In this role you will be a member of a group of Senior Analysts and whilst we
expect you to have many of the key competencies highlighted, we are also
looking for other related experience. Training and personal development will
be offered to fill any gaps and to allow career development.
