A Customer Services/Technical Support person is required by a successful Manchester based company.
The successful candidate will have a Scientific qualification (HND/C or BSc) along with at least 3 years work experience.
Primary Objective of the Job
To professionally handle Customer orders and enquiries both Technical & Commercial
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities: (not in order of priority)
1. Provide Technical Support to customers, on a dedicated range of equipment.
2. Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and other personnel as appropriate, in order
to provide the correct information.
3. Maintain a library of technical information. .
4. Prepare competitive quotes referring to standard discount terms, as a minimum,
and discount guide lines generally, whilst maintaining the highest possible
margin. Liaise with Technical Specialist and Account Managers where appropriate.
5. Follow-up selected quotes with the objective of securing an order or information.
To collate information for statistical analysis.
6. Notify relevant personnel of accepted quotations.
7. Process customer orders and handle customer service related queries including:
- pricing and delivery
- invoice queries
- credit note authorizations
- complaints and returns
- warranty repairs
- complete necessary documentation for new accounts or amendments to accounts
8. Efficient and accurate introduction and purchasing of product lines
to satisfy customer requirements.
