My client is looking to appoint a suitably experienced chemist in the
Gloucester area to deal with the nutritional analysis of food items.
You will be expected to:
· Develop expertise in appropriate procedures
· Perform physical and analytical chemistry procedures in support of QA, Mix
and Production
· Ensure analytical equipment is maintained, serviced and calibrated as
necessary
· Oversee laboratory stock levels and arrange ordering.
· Organise and perform project work
Communication
· Interpret laboratory results and prepare and issue reports
· Monitor taint/colour problems and arrange investigative meeting.
· Advise other departments with respect to analytical services
· Use nutritional software to produce consumer information
Supervision
· Provide assistance and monitor the training of QA technicians
· Supervise and train junior analytical technician
· Audit mix analyses carried out within the QA department and ensure
appropriate remedial action is taken
· Provide emergency relief cover for QA team.
