A 12 month vacancy has arisen for a GC analyst, working for a major Pharmaceutical company in a role supporting the drug development process.
The position requires a technically competent analyst educated to degree level, with industrial experience of GC, preferably gained in a GMP environment.
Experience with a wide range of GC techniques is desirable, particularly the analysis of volatiles by headspace GC, which can make up a significant part of the workload.
Familiarity with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, together with a flexible, team orientated and safety conscious work approach is desirable. Work may also involve supervised method development and validation, dependent upon previous experience.
Evidence of good communication skills and working to tight timelines would also be beneficial. Ideally applicants should be numerate and have a working knowledge of standard computing packages.
